ready

Jackets, scarves, thermals- ready.
Travel Journals, maps, ideas of exploration-ready
Chickens, Guinea-pigs, Labrador- taken care of
Two loving grandparents, four excited children, two exhausted parents-ready
A winter experience awaiting us as we head off to colder parts (the accommodation lady says it is bitterly cold)

Be back soon. Be well and full of peace and praise. XX

end of autumn

rain falling from heavens
seems so full
the land soaks it up
and then it overflows
it runs, flowing swiftly through
gully's, anywhere that will receive
inside children stir each other up
the walls seem too close
they want to run and play in the outpouring from heaven
two already with coughs and runny noses
better stay inside
watch from the window
entice them with tea time
an autunm flavouring of apples and warm cider
autumn colours on paper hang from window
where all we see is grey
hearts and bodies warm with poems, traditions and tea

inside and out

inside:
researching Marco Polo
jewelry making for mama
covered project journals

outside:

always, as soon as the rain visits they race outside shouting 'we're off to run in the rain!'

whilst driving

Zach- 'Mama- I know what color God is.'
Me-'Do you? What color?'
Zach-'White. And he loves the clouds, that's why he is white.'

around here

not many words
images to remind me
of the good and beautiful
even in the midst of the
difficult and dark.
appreciation of all things.
gratitude is a choice
to see differently
to linger in this place
allowing his work to be done.
let it be...
